Participants will learn math principles including order of operations, working with fractions and decimals, unit conversions, and selecting and using formulas, as well as how to apply those skills to real problems like calculating water volume and flow rate. This course builds confidence and competence in the math that operators use every day.

This course assumes basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and familiarity with using a calculator.

This course was developed with MassDEP funding through a partnership with UMass. The course content was created in collaboration with Mark Wetzel, Bob Hoyt, and Jennifer Wilson.
